Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) has suspended the result of its graduating class.

Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) has suspended the result of its graduating class.
Even though the formal result was announced on June 29, fresh graduates at the university have yet to receive their transcripts.

University officials said that they even lacked the finances to purchase postal stamps to send the result cards to the residential addresses of the students.

BZU officials said the university did not have the finances for the prizes to give to the students.

Former vice chancellor Dr Zafarullah has been renamed for the vice chancellor post at the university by Punjab Governor Latif Khosa but notification of the appointment has not yet been issued.

The university has been functioning without a vice chancellor since January 2011 and students have complained that the delay has complicated their admission applications for other academic programmes. BZU spokesperson Ijaz Bashir said that the results will be announced as soon as the vice chancellor takes over.

BZU students said that if the result was not announced in due time, thousands could lose their academic year.
