TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, July 13 (PIA) -– The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), Regional Office 8, headed by Regional Director Nicomedes E. Jose, is glad to announce that they have already released the results of the PNP Entrance and Promotions Exams, intended for the whole region, conducted last 17 April 2011, at the Leyte Normal University, Tacloban City.
It was learned from NAPOLCOM's Mr. Paul Cinco that the results came earlier than expected because the conduct of the examination was orderly and there was no report of any irregularity or cheating.
It was bared that out of the 1,225 PNP Entrance examinees, 71 have successfully passed the examinations and are already qualified to apply for the Police Officer I item. For region 8, Clint Christopher Y. Abigan of Calbayog City topped the PNP Entrance Exams with a rating of 79.50%.
On the other hand, NAPOLCOM informed that for the Promotional Exams, three out of the 11 examinees for the P/SUPT level passed the exams and they are: PSInsp Brillante F. Billaoac, PCInsp Bernard L. Lao, and PSInsp Dinvir L. Revita. For the INSP level, out of the 48 who took the exams, only two made it, and these are PInsp Ray Vincent N. Magto and PInsp Jolet T. Guevara. For the PNCO exams, out of the 324 examinees for SPO level, 110 police officers were able to make it. PO2 Juryll G. Abarca topped this level. For the POs, PO1 Leandro V. Abaigar made it to the top, together with other 121 successful examinees.
The above mentioned in-service police officers who have successfully passed their respective exam level are now qualified to apply for the next higher position, pending compliance with the requirements needed in said position.
For interested parties, NAPOLCOM posted the list of the successful examinees at www.napolcom.gov.ph. Likewise, the Office is also glad to invite interested parties to visit their Office at 760 Real St., Sagkahan, Tacloban City or one may call Rose at telephone number 321-3017.
For the next examinations, NAPOLCOM has scheduled it on October 13, 2011 at the Leyte National High School, Tacloban City. Applications for the said examinations may now be submitted at their regional office. Deadline for the filing of applications is set on September 16, 2011.
