The college was established in the year 1974 by the untiring efforts of the late Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupt , renowned social worker and a popular leader, who became the chief-minister of the state four times. The college is running under the auspices of the Motilal Memorial Society.
The College is situated on the bank of river Gomti. The college has lush green surroundings. The College offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Arts and Commerce faculties and under-graduate courses in Science and Computer faculties.
