Topper in Maharashtra 10th Exam 2009---

This time also Latur is in hit list of toppers in SSC exam 2009;
Shilpa Basavraj Hiremath of Latur scored 98.61% to emerge overall topper in Maharashtra,
Sonali Shantrama Chavan of Saraswati Secondary School in Thane topped the Mumbai division with 96.46%.

Anjali Anant Jadhav of A P Goregaonkar Engineering School, Goregaon, topped the list of backward class category in Mumbai division with 95.84%

Sonal Ramprakash Singh of Canoca Night School, Mahim, scored 84.15 per cent to bag the first rank among the night school students.

In the handicapped category, Navneet Bajaj Merol of Sane Guruji English Medium School, Dadar, was the topper with 94.61%.

KOLHAPUR: Apoorva Jagadish Pawooskar of S R Malu High School, Sangli, stood first with 97.23% marks in SSC exams (10th standard) in Kolhapur division.
Soniya Rajendra Lunawat, of New English School, Piyush Shahaji Sawant of Kalyani Vidyalaya, both in Satara, and Akshay Basveswar Shete of Malu High School, Sangli, shared second position with 97.07% marks.
SSC exams: Apoorva Pawooskar tops in Kolhapur division A total of 1,76,662 students appeared in the exams of which 1,37,455 (77.81%) were declared passed in the division which covers Satara, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Sangli districts,

The pass percentage of girls was 78.06%, while the figure for boys was 77.60%. District-wise pass percentage was Ratnagiri (82.16%), Satara (80.22%), Sindhudurg (79.54%), Kolhapur (76.78%) and Sangli (73.27%).
