The results of KIIT Entrance Examination 2009 (KIITEE '09) conducted by KIIT University for admission into B.Tech, MCA, Law, BBA, BCA, and MSc Biotechnology programmes was declared on Sunday.
A total of 90,000 students had appeared in the entrance examination that was held at 61 centres across the country on May 17.
S.B. Krishna Chaitanya of Chennai topped the list for B.Tech by securing 305 marks, while Vibek Jain of Bhopal topped among the MCA lists in the test.
Similarly, Samyak Jain of Delhi and Pritam Choudhury of Agartala secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
Biswajit Sahoo was Odisha topper, securing 13th position in the national merit list.
Pooja Patheja of Indore topped the test for M.Sc. Biotechnology; Sweta Das of Odisha was placed in 6th Position. Similarly, Balaram Pati of Odisha secured 5th rank in national merit list for MCA.
The counseling for admission is scheduled to be held from June 12 at KIIT premises for all the programmes.
KIIT follows the government guidelines on reservation for SC and ST. Thirty percent seats are reserved for women candidates. Similarly, 25 percent seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Odisha. Detailed information is available on www.kiitee.ac.in.
